Raymond Lam, Tony Wu, and German Cheung sing “風的形狀” on Hunan TV. Do their Shin-like costumes hint at Terrance Lau’s spiritual presence?

    Music Panda

Raymond and Tony duet on Music Panda. “風的形狀” starts at 34:00. Their final eye contact was charming.

By the way, the song “King of the Tamers” sung at the beginning of this program is the Cantonese version of the opening theme of Digimon Tamers, “The Biggest Dreamer.”

    Movie Official Weibo

Four Youths sing “風的形狀” chorus. This is their only group performance video. Hope to hear full chorus soon.

  • Osaka Comic Con Day 2 (5/3) Summary

Osaka Comic Con Day 2 (5/3) Summary

    このページの日本語ページはこちら
    這個頁面的繁體中文頁面在這裡

I could only attend the first day of Osaka Comic Con, but Day 2 looked incredibly fun, so I’ve put together this information! I’m green with envy of the fans who made it to Day 2!! (lol)

Day 2 also had ticket distribution → ended after about an hour

The “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” booth, which quickly ran out of tickets on the first day, also distributed tickets on this day, but posts on X reported that ticket distribution ended about an hour after the venue opened.

“Double Blade shop owner” Jozev Lau was amazing with fans today too!

Jozev Lau, who played Double Blade, was at the booth again on Day 2, and many posts on X showed him happily signing autographs and taking photos with fans. He even offered a special service where he performed with a replica Double Blade, and videos of this were uploaded to his own X account.

Merchandise selling out one after another, popularity spreading to other booths?

The tote bags set aside for Day 2 sales seem to have sold out immediately. Some pin badges that were still available on Day 1 also sold out on Day 2.

Also, products featuring “Mahjong” were apparently popular at the venue for some reason. I wonder which movie influenced this…? (lol)

“Double Blade shop owner” makes surprise appearance at Cosplay Gathering! Someone special reacted to the shop owner singing with four Kings!

And believe it or not, the Double Blade shop owner apparently made a surprise appearance at the cosplay gathering today! A dream collaboration with “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” cosplayers! I wish I could have been there in person!!

Double Blade shop owner multiplying. (lol)

Double Blade shop owner & four Kings passionately singing Monica!! (LOL LOL LOL)

Even better, Philip Ng, who played King, reacted to the Comic Con scenes on his Instagram stories!

This was my first time attending Osaka Comic Con, but I was surprised to see how many fans had gathered for a movie that was released in Japan on January 17th this year, enough to have a cosplay gathering in less than 4 months. At Tokyo Comic Con in December, the fan circle will probably be even bigger. Looking forward to it.

On the first day (May 2) of Osaka Comic Con held at INTEX Osaka, I had the chance to meet Jozev Lau! His “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” T-shirt looks cool!

Note: Jozev Lau kindly gave me permission to post this photo. I’m deeply grateful to him.

From opening time, Jozev Lau maintained a smile and gladly accepted fans’ requests for autographs and photos. Everyone was clearly delighted (I also received his autograph and am considering where to display it). He even helped check stock and arrange products occasionally, working more like an actual shop manager than a special guest, which was surprising and surely a valuable experience for fans.

I’m rooting for Jozev Lau and all the staff members for a smooth Comic Con without any major issues!

Chinese Revival Screening Promotional Videos Summary

    このページの日本語ページはこちら

The revival screenings of the movie “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” start today in Hong Kong and tomorrow in mainland China! The official movie accounts uploaded promotional videos for Hong Kong and mainland China, so I collected them here. I can say all of them are really cool!!

    Hong Kong Version

They posted videos on Instagram and YouTube. What’s interesting is that they include videos of the main cast that aren’t in the actual movie.

The new video was probably made using this video posted on the official movie Weibo. It was posted in late May last year, so they filmed it quite a long time ago.

    Mainland China Version

Two versions of promotional videos were posted on the official movie Weibo.

Version 1 (posted 4/28): This trailer follows the style of previous trailers.

Version 2 (posted 4/30): This seems to reflect the results of the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, with what appears to be more screen time for Raymond Lam who was nominated for Best Actor, Philip Ng and Jozev Lau who were nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best New Performer respectively, as well as Chu Pak Hong who won Best Supporting Actor for ‘The Last Dance’.

The 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” Team’s Little Fun Stories

    このページの日本語ページはこちら
    這個頁面的繁體中文頁面在這裡

At the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” won in 9 categories! (You can read about the nominations here.) I will share some fun little stories from the award ceremony.

Louis Koo arrived at the venue in an Uber Taxi and gave out coupon codes.

This year, Louis Koo arrived in an Uber Taxi that he appears in commercials for (you can see the actual commercial here). According to his Instagram, arriving at the venue while still in the car was a first in Hong Kong Film Awards history. He even gave out limited coupon codes. This seems like great advertising.

Louis Koo mentioned the film’s success in Japan

During an interview that day, he said: “I’m very happy not only about the good box office numbers but also hearing that the BBQ pork rice with egg that appears in the movie is becoming popular in Japan.” (Related article here.)
The success in Japan seems to be very meaningful for Hong Kong’s film industry.

The “BBQ Pork Rice” comedy skit

Staff delivered takeout BBQ pork rice to Raymond Lam. From the back of the audience, Derek Yee, the chairman of the Hong Kong Film Awards Association, pleaded: “No eating here! Go back to the Kowloon Walled City to eat when you win an award! And give that BBQ pork rice to me!” (Related article here.)

    The “Fifth Youths” comedy skit

The Four Youths (Raymond Lam, Terrance Lau, Tony Wu and German Cheung) went on stage with “Sugarcane Man” Chu Pak Hong, who won Best Supporting Actor for “The Last Dance.” Chu tried to sell himself, saying: “I want to be in the sequel of ‘Youths’ too, as the fifth person!” (Article here

The official movie’s Weibo posted the video.

    Family performance

When “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled I” won Best Film, Aaron Kwok, who appeared in this film but was nominated for another work, also went on stage. On stage, we could see the amazing lineup of Aaron Kwok, Louis Koo, and Raymond Lam standing side by side.

German Cheung: Dressed → Undressed → Dressed Again

    Red carpet (dressed)

    Comedy skit (undressed)

After winning Best Film (dressed again, without shirt)

Foreshadowing paid off? BBQ pork rice was served at the “Kowloon Walled City” (celebration party)

According to Jozev Lau’s X post, after the awards ceremony, BBQ pork rice was served at the “Kowloon Walled City” (celebration party), just as the Hong Kong Film Awards Association chairman Derek Yee mentioned in the comedy skit. I wonder if the chairman got to eat the BBQ pork rice? (lol)

Update (April 29): The movie’s official Instagram has uploaded a video of BBQ pork rice being served at the celebration party! (So exciting!)

The 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards will be held today, Sunday, April 27, from the evening. “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” has been nominated in 14 categories as listed below, and I’m excited to see how many awards it will win!

Also, Aaron Kwok (who plays Jim) is nominated for Best Actor for another movie, and Raymond Lam (who plays Chan Lok-kwan) is nominated for the same award. I wonder if they will appear together on stage, which would be interesting to see.

How to Watch the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards from Japan:

  • 主要キャスト出演のパロディ作品まとめ (2026年1月8日版)

Summary of Parody Commercials Featuring Main Cast (May 19, 2025 Edition)

    這個頁面的繁體中文頁面在這裡
    このページの日本語ページはこちら

Q1. How many parody commercials so far?

11 commercials (from 10 companies) in total.

    Q2. Who appears most often?

Louis Koo (Cyclone), in 5 commercials.

Q3. What’s new in the latest update?

May 19 update added 7 new ads. These include DBS Hong Kong and AIA.

I made a collection of commercial videos. They feature actors from “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” as parody versions of their characters!

    1. Uber Taxi “Skip the Kung Fu!” Campaign

    Featuring: Louis Koo (Cyclone).
Not a direct parody, but inspired by his latest kung fu movie “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In.”

    Behind-the-scenes footage(?)

    2. AllRightsReserved “PANDA GO! Hong Kong Tour” Promotion Video

    Featuring: Louis Koo (Cyclone).
There’s a panda dressed as Cyclone. It’s cute.

    3. Deliveroo Hong Kong

Featuring: Terrence Lau (Shin) and Kenny Wong (Tiger).
Kenny Wong plays a triad boss in this commercial. Terrence Lau acts as his subordinate. They enjoy karaoke together, much like in the film. I wonder who owns this karaoke place (lol).

    Behind-the-scenes footage

    4. Eagle Brand Medicated Oil

Featuring: Raymond Lam (Chan Lok-kwan) and Tony Wu (Twelfth Master).
They fight over char siu rice. Raymond’s light sunglasses might reference Cyclone (lol).

    5. Tam Jai SamGor Rice Noodles

    Featuring: Philip Ng (King).
Did King cut his hair? He looks so much like King (lol).

    6. Gucci

Featuring: Louis Koo (Cyclone) and Raymond Lam (Chan Lok-kwan).
It keeps Gucci’s luxury atmosphere while including small references to “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In.”

    Behind-the-scenes footage

    7. DBS Hong Kong

Featuring: Louis Koo (Cyclone) and Raymond Lam (Chan Lok-kwan).
This is clearly a parody of that famous scene (lol). I was surprised to see a banking institution use this film. It shows how popular the movie is in Hong Kong.

    YouTube Video Thumbnail
    ▶ YouTubeで見る

    8. AIA Hong Kong And Macau

    Featuring: Terrence Lau (Shin)
Terrence Lau rides a motorcycle like Shin. His flashy character also resembles Shin. In the film, Shin rode without a helmet through the fortress. Terrence wears a helmet here, making him look more responsible (lol).

    9. 正官庄 香港 Korean Ginseng (Hong Kong)

    Featuring: Terrence Lau (Shin)
Terrence Lau rides a motorcycle again. This time he has no helmet.

    10. 大快活 Fairwood I

    Featuring: German Cheung (AV)
I see this as a film parody due to the kung fu action. German Cheung wears light clothing, also like in the film. I enjoy his kicking skills. The lack of kicks here might be due to restaurant hygiene. Kicks could stir up dust.

    【番外編】Deliveroo Hong Kong

    Featuring: Louis Koo (Cyclone).
Louis Koo tries to forcefully shave an actor’s beard (lol). This seems like a movie parody, but it’s listed separately. Why? The commercial came out in January 2022, before the movie’s release. The filming of both likely overlapped. It’s not clear which beard-shaving scene came first. Still, it’s quite interesting.
